FISH

Some people might find this one a bit gross, but i like my feet, and they deserve to be treated nicely!
  • Have a fish pedicure.
If you haven't heard about these before, you basically put your feet in a tank full of fish that eat dead skin, and they nibble your feet until they are silky smooth!

Update: This is disgusting, never get this done. Eww.

Read More Books!

Today I read the book 'All My Friends Are Superheroes' by Andrew Kaufman. After I read the book it made me realise how little I read these days, and I really enjoy reading! This item on the list is going to take some serious long term commitment, because if I don't commit to it, then in a couple of years time I'll have to become a mega book worm to catch up!
  • Read 100 books (that I haven't read before)
I will list the books here, and if you care you can track my progress!
  1. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  2. A Certain Age by Rebbecca Ray
  3. The Shining by Stephen King
  4. Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding
  5. Play to Kill by P.J. Tracy
  6. The Waterproof Bible by Andrew Kaufman
  7. A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby
  8. High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
  9. Gypsy Boy by Mikey Walsh
  10. Winter Ghosts by Kate Mosse

Two down...

I played bingo! It was pretty scary really, I wasn't prepared for how intimidating it was going to be. The speed is crazy, but all in all it was a fun evening and I would definitely do it again.

Sunday 9 May 2010

One down, lots to go!

I crossed the first thing off! I went on the tube all by myself, and it wasn't too bad, I didn't much enjoy the claustrophobic nature of it, and people in London are a bit pushy and rude, but I didn't get lost!

BINGO

Now I know it is something that old people do, but I really want to play bingo! I've never done it before, I keep telling people that I want to go but they just laugh at me. So it's going on the list!

  • Play Bingo!
And by play bingo, I don't just mean sit at home and play bingo with my family, cos I've done that before and won pennies. I wanna play in a proper bingo place, with a bingo stamp!

May!

Happy May to everyone who reads this, and to future me when I read this back.

So this month I am going to cross at least one thing off of the list. Would anyone like to guess what? I might attempt more than one thing in fact!

Exciting huh!

Well I shall update as soon as I have accomplished something, which I hope will be this time next week!

ROBOT LAND!

I need to take a moment here just to stress how amazing this is! ROBOT LAND. A land of robots! Okay so it hasn't been built yet, but I'm not going to let that stop me. This baby is going on the list!
  • Visit Robot Land!
Whilst we are on the topic of my beloved robots i need to add
  • Eat at Hajime robot restaurant in Thailand
That one should be pretty achievable within the year, as I have a ticket booked for Thailand for September the 2nd!
Now I know that some people don't like robots, and I understand that. If they can develop robots that have cognitive skills, then yes, they could potentially turn on the human race. But lets face it, that's just like being scared of zombies. It is possible, but highly unlikely!

Ooh and whilst on the subject of robots, if you have yet to watch I'm Here then you should, cos it is awesomely lovely.

These are the shoes!

I know this has nothing to do with my list, but i just wanted to share how pretty my ebay shoes are. They may be made from baby goats, but they are very pretty goats!

Sunday 7 March 2010

I wish I had thought to put this on!

I just won my first ever ebay auction. I wish I had put it on my list, but I didn't, so now I cant cross it off. This lil moment of joy isn't a real achievement because it wasn't on the list. Dammit I should put more on the list...

PS. I bought reeeally pretty shoes. When they arrive, me and Hannah are gonna go out and look at our feet all night, its gonna be awesome.

Lent

Ive given up alcohol for lent, I wasn't much of a drinker anyway, but it's surprisingly tough. I went out for cocktails last night with friends from work, they all drank alcohol; I had a banana milkshake. It was an odd feeling, knowing that I couldn't drink. More often than not I choose not to drink, but the choice was no longer there. So it got me to thinking about how limited the soft drink options are when you go out, and I like soft drinks quite a lot, they are soft after all! Anyway...
  • I want to make my own cola.
Ive found an awesome looking recipe here, I think ill probably wait for summer, and give it a blast along with some homemade lemonade. Yum. I'm such a dork.

February Food for thought

Well I didn't expect February to start the way it did, but there have been some pretty good things so far too, and they have got me thinking.

After hours chattering away to Hannah at the Twin Atlantic gig, I asked her if she would take photos of all the things that I bake for a while, so that I can build enough recipes with photos that match, to start my own food blog. so, that leads me to:

  • Create my very own food blog

Although i think the toughest part of that would be deciding what to call it...hmm

Inspiration has struck!

So i've been thinking really hard about this blog tonight, and the sort of things I really want to do over the next 6 and a half years! Its not a great deal of time, but I want to fill it with fun things, before I stop to think about babies, and husbands and all the stuff that right now seems so far away.

Well my inspiration has brought me to this place, and these are my new additions:

  • Get my mum to New Zealand, shes always dreamt of going there, and I'd love for her to go, she deserves a trip of a lifetime
  • I would like to take a picture of myself every day for a year, and then look back and see how much I've changed. Maybe ill start that in 2011.
  • Go on the London Underground on my own. Now this one really scares me, but I need to toughen up a bit.
  • Sleep in a castle, a haunted one would be especially nice!
  • Take part in a murder mystery weekend away, if it can be in a castle, then even better!
  • Write a children's book. (I'm not saying it needs to be a published book or anything, just written!)
  • Plant a tree
  • Fly in a hot air balloon
  • Have enough body confidence to do some kind of semi naked photo shoot, just for me!
  • Visit an observatory and look through their amazing telescopes
  • See a movie at a drive-in
  • Road trip across the USA, I'll either need a driving license or some awesome friends to achieve this one.

I feel quite passionate about this now, I'm not quite sure why all these things have come to mind today. It has however made me completely happy, and that's never a bad thing, right?

The Dream

I cannot believe that I forgot to talk about the obvious goal that needs to be achieved before I am 30. For me, its the dream job.

  • Train to be a primary school teacher

Clowning around

  • I want to learn to juggle!!
  • Also, on an unrelated topic, I'd like to watch a burlesque show.
